CIRSE has named the city but not yet the venue; the MedTech Europe Conference Vetting System lists Allianz MiCo. According to CIRSE, the congress draws more than 7,000 participants.

Where to stay in Milan

If the congress is at MiCo, CityLife has a few hotels within walking distance. The M5 line links the venue with Garibaldi and Zara, where it meets the M2 and M3, so hotels around Porta Garibaldi, Isola and Milano Centrale are a short ride away. The historic centre has the widest choice for dinners.

Planning notes for groups

  • The congress starts on a Saturday. Plan Friday 24 September as the arrival night.
  • September is a busy month in Milan: the ERS Congress is at MiCo from 11 to 14 September, trade fairs fill Fiera Milano Rho through mid-month, and Milan Fashion Week has fallen in the last week of September in recent years (22 to 28 September in 2026). Book early.
  • Milan raised its tourist tax for 2026, to €10 a night in 4-star hotels and €12 in 5-star hotels, and the city has said 2027 rates may come down again. Confirm the rate before you fix budgets.
  • CIRSE has not yet named its 2027 hotel partner. Until it does, treat unsolicited hotel offers with caution.
