SGBCC 2027, the 20th St.Gallen International Breast Cancer Conference, takes place from 17 to 20 March 2027 at the Austria Center Vienna. The conference has met in Vienna every two years since 2015, and the 2025 edition drew more than 3,000 delegates from over 90 countries.

Where to stay in Vienna

The organisers have reserved rooms at 16 hotels, at rates from about EUR 150 to EUR 325 a night, with group conditions available through the congress secretariat. A few hotels in Donau City and Kaisermühlen are within walking distance of the venue. For more choice, stay along the U1 in Leopoldstadt or the city centre: the ride to Kaisermühlen-VIC is direct, and the old town is the better base for dinners.

Planning notes for groups

  • The conference ends at lunchtime on Saturday 20 March, so a Saturday night is rarely needed. Delegates flying long distances should arrive on Tuesday 16 March.
  • ELCC 2027 runs on exactly the same dates in Munich. Oncology teams covering both meetings should split staff and budgets early.
  • The City Airport Train runs as a bus service until the end of October 2027 because of rail works. Allow extra time for airport transfers, or use the Railjet trains between the airport and Wien Hauptbahnhof.
  • The organisers warn about fraudulent hotel offers. Check who you are dealing with before you pay.
