IMEX Frankfurt: Why We Attend and How to Meet CongressBookers

IMEX Frankfurt is one of the meetings industry's main trade shows, held every spring at Messe Frankfurt. The 2027 edition runs from 11 to 13 May, after a specialist education day on 10 May, and the 2028 show is scheduled for 25 to 27 April. We use it to meet the hotel groups, destinations and partners we work with on medical congress groups, and you can arrange to meet us there.

Our history with IMEX

IMEX has been part of our calendar for years. In 2019 we exhibited at IMEX Frankfurt on the England Pavilion as a VisitEngland partner, alongside other UK suppliers. Since then the show has been one of the main places where we meet hotel partners face to face, and in October 2026 we also attended IMEX America in Las Vegas as a hosted buyer.

Why IMEX matters for medical congress groups

• Early conversations about next year's congress cities. We meet hotel groups and destinations where upcoming congresses will be held, often a year or more before the dates.
• Group terms, not just rates. Face-to-face meetings are where we discuss cut-off dates, attrition, name changes and group check-in, the details that decide whether a congress block works.
• Destination partners. Convention bureaus and DMCs help us with venues, transfers and dinners for HCP groups and advisory boards.
• Faster answers later. When a client brief arrives, we already know who to call at the hotel.

Practical tips for IMEX week

• Book your hotel early. Frankfurt fills up during IMEX, and rates near the Messe rise. Read our guide to Frankfurt hotels and trade fair dates.
• Arrive by train or S-Bahn. The S-Bahn links the airport and the Messe in about 15 minutes, and metro line U4 runs from the main station.
• Pre-book appointments. The busiest exhibitors fill their diaries weeks before the show.
