Tic-Tac- Paris calling
Love month is over, but no one stopped thinking about a trip to the city of love, as it is commonly called, the capital of France.
One of the capital cities for medical congresses too, as many events take place in beautiful Paris every year- and rumour has it you cannot visit this city too many times. Paris is definitely one of the most popular destinations in the whole world, and it is funny how we hear so many things about this place long before visiting it.
However, it is not just about its iconic places such as Sacre Coeur, Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower, Palace of Versailles, Louvre Museum, Champs Elysees or Moulin Rouge, but about so many other places where you can go and make memories. Let’s have a look at some hidden gems around Paris that have the power to remind you of other famous places in the world.
Rue Cremieux is located in the 12th arrondissement and it is popular for its pastel-coloured houses that line the street and which can remind travellers of Billund and its coloured houses.
If you have been to New York and missed it a little, Paris is crowded, too, and has great connections when it comes to flights, but it can also take you back to Liberty Island.
Île Aux Cygnes is a small uninhabited island nestled in the middle of the Seine and it has a 22m-tall Statue of Liberty replica. You can also spend some time here as it has an area with many facilities as tree-lined walkways, exercise machines and a climbing wall.
Lavirotte Building on Rapp Avenue is another amazing place in Paris where you can admire the work of architect Jules Lavirotte who succeeded in creating here a gorgeous Art Nouveau edifice. The work is irregular and imaginative, but also quirky. It reminds of the beautiful building across Barcelona as this style was also one that influenced Gaudi.
If your plane ticket did not cost a fortune and you are in the mood for some shopping, but wouldn’t like to go home with only the latest purse out there, you should go o an antique market as Paris is known for having the best ones in Europe. Marche Malassis is known for being a treasure full of hidden goods- but all are coming from the past. This is also one of the biggest flea markets in the world. Unusual and unique items are to be found everywhere and make sure you have comfortable shoes as you will spend hours searching all over the place.
2023 will bring to Paris thousands of specialists from all around the world where they will have the opportunity to share their latest discoveries in several medical fields: blood and marrow transplantation, psychiatry, cardiology, dermatology, neurology, ophthalmology- and this is just a short list. For bookings for events such as EPA, EUROPCR, JDP, SFNP, SFO, SFC or EBMT you can drop us an email or discuss with us on our chat, here, on our website.
